What would a pirate do?

Today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

No, really.

And whereas I’m always up for a few aHaaaaarghs and the like, I think it might be even more useful if we started to act, occasionally at least, like a pirate.

“Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag,
and begin slitting throats.”
~ Henry Lewis Mencken

So when faced with a challenge today, ask yourself “What would a pirate do?”

=> Take no prisoners

=> Set sail for the edge of the map

=> Retire to the pub for the day and drink ale and rum

=> Make those causing trouble walk the plank

=> Build a team of dedicated folk around you

=> Start hunting for the real treasure

=> And if you’re desperate, wear an eye patch and rent a parrot

In the warp and the weft of Great Work lies something of the rebel spirit.  You have to buck the system, strike out on your own, search for the great treasure, engage in battle.  There’s pirate blood in Great Work.
