Great Work Quote #8
“All stress is the result of feeling as though you have no choice about something. As soon as you recognize the choices inherent in any situation, you regain a sense of being in control – and the feeling of stress will begin to disappear.”
~ Bill Cumming, Center for Access to the Power Within
I’m not exactly sure if this is true … but it certainly is a provocative and useful thought.
My own pesonal mission is “to infect a billion people with the possibilty virus” – with this equation in mind:
Stuck = no choice, no possibilities
Unstuck = new possibilities
New possibilities = choice
Choice = Freedom
Freedom = Responsibility
I want, in Peter Block’s words, to support people to assume “the responsibility of their own freedom” and through that to help people find their Great Work.
