Learn from everyone, follow no one, watch for patterns, work like hell

Scott McCloud’s books are a thing of genius – they’re about comics, but they’re really about space, life, understanding, design, impact.

His TED talk – which is on vision and eventually on comics – is equally good. The title from the blog is just one of the great points he makes.

    Thanks for bringing Scott McCloud to the table. The presentation itself showed a creative intelligent mind at work and matched and amplified the content. I was really surprised at how he mapped the jungian preferences onto his model. I loved the way he showed that being true to your nature and marrying it with your passions yields great results.
