The Friday Grab Bag (July 24)

Every Friday I offer up some great reading about Great Work from other people. I figure there’s so much great stuff – and so much rubbish – out on the internet, that you need to celebrate the gems.
Here are two to take a gander at today.
1. Time to recalibrate
Pam Slim is someone I’ve only recently stumbled across, and I’m a fan. Her new book Escape from Cubicle Nation is about the leap from corporate work to being an entrepreneur, and is excellent. This blog post of hers is useful for anyone, whatever role you play. It’s five big, game-changing questions (and I love big questions) about what might be different in the second half of 2009 for you.
2. How to make an entrance
How you start makes a difference. Not just metaphorically, but nueorlogically – our brain tends to favour the beginning and the end of things to guide how we remember it. This is not an article but a five minute joyful video clip of how to start something in style.

Thanks for the video…Imagine if we could all just look at our lives that way and celebrate all that we are….
