Box of Crayons

How do you design your work day?

Thanks to Wally Bock for the pointer to this terrific interview with Jason Fried of 37Signals. Fried’s built in some great structures into his day to increase its productivity and hold the space to do Great Work.

I particularly love the scorn heaped on traditional meetings… and what they do instead.

How about you? What’s one of your tricks or tips to stay focused on the work that matters?

  1. “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is…” (Great Work quote)
  2. Why design is at the heart of Great Work
  3. “If you don’t design your own life plan…” (Great Work quote)
  4. Three reasons why you should care about design (and five people to listen to this week)
