10 essential rules for facilitators
I hope you’ve already seen this fantastic video, a work of genius by the guys in OK Computer.
Well, it’s not exactly by them. Adam Sadowsky is the guy who actually designed it. This is an 11 minute talk, and he sets out the 10 commandments they agreed upon in its design, as well as some key life lessons too.
They’re fabulous – 10 ways of thinking differently and engagingly about an experience. If you’re a faciliator or a trainer or even if you run the occasional meeting, you should take a look.
My favourite rules? #4 Make use of the space and #5 Make it messy. That and “Small stuff stinks…but it’s essential.”
Genius.
