“If you are kind, people may accuse you of…” (Great Work quote)

“If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build anyway.”
~ Mother Theresa

I found this quote in this article from Fast Company about ad guy Alex Bogusky. It’s a powerful call to stay the path, stay true to what matters, and pursue Great Work.

Powerful and inspiring – two things needed on a Monday morning :)

Wow! Thank you for the quote and insight. The quote is powerful and true, yet it is baffling as to why it is true.

I believe it comes down to a personal decision on who you are going to be regardless of the struggles and hardships you may endurer along the way.

    Difficult – Yes!

    But, maybe.. just maybe…….

There is a person’s life you will inspire, encourage or help change their world for the better, because you choose to be kind, choose to be honest and you choose to continue to give anyway.
