Brian Hofland. Atlantic Philanthropies

Brian Hofland is working in his dream job as the Director of the Ageing Programme at Atlantic Philanthropies, an international foundation devoted to bringing about lasting change in the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people, focusing on the areas of Ageing, Children & Youth, Population Health and Reconciliation & Human Rights.

Before joining Atlantic in 2001, Brian worked in a number of different organizations all focused on promoting and supporting the ageing population. At Atlantic, he is dedicated to creating pathways and opportunities for older adults to have life purpose and to undertake meaningful activities. He’s making a major impact by recognizing that the majority of older adults are healthy contributors to society, rather than sick and frail.
