“Creativity — like human life itself — begins in darkness” [Great Work Quote]

Creativity — like human life itself — begins in darkness.
~ Julia Cameron
Here’s what I think when I read this quote from Julia Cameron:
- Where am I shining too much light so creativity withers?
- How might I step into darkness (and unknowing and uncertainty and doubt)?
- How might I reconnect with the spark of creativity?
How about you? Any sparks in the dark?

- “Most of what matters in your life…” (Great Work quote)
- “This is the strangest life I’ve ever known” (Great Work quote)

How might I step into darkness (and unknowing and uncertainty and doubt)?
We have to be brave.
Also in The Artist’s Way is the quote “leap and the net shall appear” which is both helpful and supportive.
Powerful questions, thanks Michael.
Really provocative questions and especially for this time of year as the sunny hours wane.
I’ve been simplifying and “pulling back” at times from public outreach. I’m taking a 48-hour retreat to a nearby cabin next week for these very reasons. And on Dec 16, I plan to focus on DREAMTIME. Honestly, I’m not yet sure what that means for my process as a consultant and writer. But I’ll find out.
Thanks for the questions, Michael.
