Box of Crayons

An essential secret to my business and personal growth (and how to get some)

Box of Crayons has flourished over the last number of years. We’re smarter, bigger, more focused, more creative and having more impact (and indeed making more money as well).

If I was to point a finger at one critical element in that success, it would my Brain Trust, my most excellent mastermind group of Jen, Eric, Molly, Michele and Mark.

For more than five years we’ve checked in with each other three to five times a week, talked on the phone biweekly, and done an annual retreat.

These people have become my supporters, my provocateurs and my friends. And you have to understand, I’m one of those people that hates joining groups. So I’m totally nonplussed that this has happened.

If you wish you had something like that – and this isn’t just for entrepreneurs, its for anyone who’s living a life – then Jen has put together a program to help you create your own mastermind group.

She’s sharing what we’ve done that’s worked (and not worked), how we’ve reinvented ourselves 3 or 4 times, and what you need to do to get something rolling of your own.

If you’re interested, you can check it out here.

I will check it out Michael. I started a group called Nightowls where a couple of people would meet every Tuesday at a co-working space in Munich to work on their on projects and chat over their computer screens. I made the best connections their last year. This year I was not doing it anymore because I had to focus on other things but I think about launching it in a mastermind style as well. So it is closed and all members decide who gets in. This Program from your friend might me helpful for me.

  2. hey darling thanks for the shout out about the class! you are the bomb!

      Hi Michael
I also started a group that was a development set to bounce problems off and get suggestions for solutions. It lost momentum after about one year but was very positive for all of us. I look forward to reading how to reinvent and keep a group like this going. Especially when you were hooking up so often every week.
      Thanks
