  1. With meetings, particularly in the middle of the day, all members are arriving from other projects/work/conversations/meetings. It is difficult to pull together and re-focus on the current subject. Time is lost to this settling process, as people greet others they haven’t seen, make quick comments about other projects, make plans for future meetings/phone calls/emails. My vision is that upon arrival, the group immediately begins to focus, together, and gather the energy to attend to *this* work. I am a Certified Zentangle Teacher, and the simple, 10-minute process of drawing in a mindful way, brings everyone to the present place and time. No drawing skill necessary, if the attendees can hold a pen, they can draw these simple, repetitive patterns. These small small drawings are then placed in the middle of the table and the meeting is begun. It is a vastly under-used resource with powerful results. Read about Zentangle at Zentangle.com.
