Box of Crayons

Is this the future of teams?

We get to bump into smart people in our work at Box of Crayons, and one of those very smart people is Dave Aron, someone who is part of the cutting-edge of Gartner’s thinking around leadership.

He’s been wrestling with the notion of the New Team for the last year or so, and he’s recently had a chance to lay some of that thinking out on the Harvard Business Review blog.

Take a look at Dave’s piece on Clusters and tell me what you think. What would be different for you if you started using some of the insights you see here?

Michael, isn’t this Dave’s version of what Gary Hamel is talking about in What Matters Most? Mark

    • Dave Aron says:

Mark, I am ashamed to say I haven’t read that yet. But I read “The future of management” by Hamel, and he was positing that we need radical innovation in the way we manage and get work done. The clusters concept is one possible innovation.
