I got the blues thinking of the future, so I left off and made some marmalade.
It’s amazing how it cheers one up to shred oranges and scrub the floor.”
~ D. H. Lawrence
You know how sometimes writing is dated because they quote chunks of Latin, expecting us all to be able to translate – or how they just lump in everybody as Man? Well, there’s something about a love of making marmalade that’s also a little, shall we say 19th Century?
That all said, I love this as an insight about how to get out of stuck and back on track. Stop thinking about it. Go do something, anything (even make marmalade) that gets you moving again.
For those of us stuck behind computers, we can forget that the role of our body isn’t solely to carry our brain around.
Get out, get moving.
